Today scared me little bit, she almost got ran over by a car when she was running ahead of me to home from the school across the street. She usually listen to me and stop for me to pick up and get her across the street, but this time she didn't and a car was almost hit her just as she reached the middle of the street. wheww... I will never let her go out of the yard anywhere without put her on the leash again.
Anyway, just an update on her progressing from a month ago. I took her to take the shot on 7/20, the vet student told me she might be few months old, not a month old, so she putting up a fascade the whole time. I have to go back two more times in 40 days intervals to get two more vaccine shots session on her, I think it would be bascially the same vaccine, the reason they had to do three times has something to do with catching her immune system when it is either strongest or weakest, the vet student wasn't the best communicator in the world, maybe she fell asleep when the professor taught on the subject. She has grown to about 10+lb and probably 16 inches long now. She eats alot and shits a lot also, and also farts too, ever since I bought the another brand of dog food, other than the Ol'Roy, the same vet student told me Ol'Roy has too much fiber in it and that was the reason the dog was shitting too much because she couldn't not really digest fiber, so I bought the one she recommended, she liked it allright, but that didn't stop her from shitting any less, if not more. It seems she just shit at the wrong time at wrong place now, every morning I wake up with two piles of shits in the living room. When she was eating Ol'Roy, she shits outside most of the time. Sigh.... but she is still very cute and a joy to have, I guess you take the good with the bad. She still having little trouble with potting training, I bought a plastic container for the sand and she seem to find it very entertaining to play with, but sometimes she would forget to pee in it. I made her little behind pay everytime when I find her in the act of release her onto the floor. I regret it everytime but it has to be done or she will be harder to turn around when she gets older. She now understand few commands, such as sit, stay, and fetch. I play fetch with her toys at home and with sticks when we are outside, I remember one time I throw a little stick out and she came back with a stick two times her length because she couldn't find the little stick I threw out. She would sometimes circle me around with whatever she fetched back to make me chase her. She still could not shake the bad habit of chewing on my shoes, she already ruined one pair of my sandals, I kept all my good shoes well abover her reach and the only shoes I 'allow' her to chew is my boots, she has taken great care in taking the shoe laces of them out, it is hard to lace back in because she had chewed away the tips long time ago. She does like me lying on her back and let me scratch her belly, it is relaxing to her, and she would try to get hold of my hand and chew on that too, I have tried my best to teach her not to do that, I hope she will grow out of it soon. Ever since we got back from the vet, I think she has been tick free. The vet gave me two little bottle of flea drops made for puppies, and each bottle can only be applied once and can last up to 30 days. That thing cost me about 20 dollars, but I think it is worth it because it worked. Anyway I could go all day talk about her, but this is it for today, until next time.
